Ingredients:

• 1 banana, peeled and sliced
• 3/4 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
• 1 1/4 cup low fat milk
• 1 tbsp clear honey

Method:

• Place the banana and strawberries into a blender
• Add milk & honey
• Blend until smooth and well mixed
• Pour into glasses and serve immediately

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of lotus seeds
• 6 candied winter melon strips
• 1/2 tbsp dried longan
• 8 cups of water

Method:

• Bring water to boil
• Add all the ingredients and simmer until lotus seeds are soft

Why Eat Fruits amd Vegetables?

My 5 years old daughter asked, Why eat fruits and vegetables?

While I simply answered, to be healthy and protect against diseases, heart disease, stroke and cancer.

There is a large variety of fruit and vegetables in the markets and supermarkets. Apart from serving as an accompaniment to main meal, it can be a wonderful dish in its own right. Fruit and vegetables does taste delicious and they also add colour, flavour and texture to meals and snacks.

The repair....

The repair for the car will takes about 2 weeks. Went down to the workshop recently to see the extent of the damaged. Wow, the back really look serious. They have already replaced the front hood and was in the process to repair the bonnet, left and right rear fender panel. The spare wheel compartment has to be changed out also.

Reckless Truck Driver

Talking about phobia. I was so annoyed by most, if not all truck driver. Today on my way to work, I witnessed a reckless 20ft-truck driver. Thereafter, I can't stop from making a feedback on the near-miss.

This is what I wrote to the Transport Company:

"I was traveling along Woodlands Ave 12 at about 7.30am (15 Nov 07) when I can't stop to take noticed of a very fast moving truck from ATRANS YM4632K . The truck was moving at about 90km/h where a 60km/h speed limit was pasted on the truck, this is absurd. He was not only moving very fast but was also changing from middle to left and then extreme right lane very abruptly. Please kindly educate your drivers that such reckless driving is a menace to other road users. I wanted to bring to ATRANS attention so that such irresponsible behaviours can be rectified early, otherwise incident is awaiting to happen.

One suggestion is to install speed limiter device on the truck so as to restrict the driver attempting to over speed, for your consideration please."

I was glad that the Operations Manager called me saying that the company will make an attempt to educate their drivers on safe driving.

Phobia of driving....

After that uneventful event the last few days, it is such a painful experience to drive on the road again. .....

Went to TTSH for complaint of Neck Pain.

He went to TTSH last night because of Neck Pain and back ache and was given 3 days medical leave.

Today is not a good day for my Hushband

Aiyah, my hushband car was badly damaged from the rear. He was travelling along BKE to NTU when a Silver Renault Kangoon GV4746G hit his car. The impact was so great that his car surged forward and hit a Nissan Sunny SGQ 1186T infront of him.
