Abuse of the Off-Peak Car Scheme

I've lately noticed that the Off-Peak Car Scheme without valid $20 day licence has been widely abused especially in the heartland. I was hoping that LTA and Traffic Police can step up their patrol otherwise should device a more robust system to monitor the usage during restricted hours.

This offenders are simply trying their luck. Every time the drive on resticted hours and was not caught, I'm sure they'll be even bolder to drive during the restricted hours. This is really unfair as they were given $17,000 as rebate for Red Plate registration. They not only add to the morning congestion but also indirectly show the authority poor system management.
